Courtney Hess is Associate General Counsel, Regulatory Affairs, for Corebridge Financial. Corebridge Financial is one of the largest and most established providers of retirement solutions and insurance products in the United States.
In her role, Courtney is responsible for the company’s management of state insurance market conduct examinations, inquiries, and regulatory reporting. Courtney also leads regulatory monitoring and change management efforts for the company’s legal department. Courtney collaborates closely with internal stakeholders across business and functional areas, government affairs, and compliance to promote positive outcomes in advocacy of company positions and implementation of regulatory changes.
Prior to joining Corebridge Financial, Courtney held legal, compliance, and legislative affairs positions with the State of Tennessee Department of Treasury, supporting and advising the State’s defined benefit and deferred compensation plans, risk management program, and unclaimed property division.
Courtney received her Juris Doctorate degree and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Public Policy from Vanderbilt University, where she is actively engaged through the Reunion Committee.
