Allen Long serves as executive director of High Hopes Preschool and Pediatric Therapy Clinic in Franklin, TN. This non-profit equips children and families with the skills necessary to succeed through education, therapeutic services, and loving support.
Long spent the first half of his professional career in the corporate sector, holding leadership positions in human resources and operational capacities with Tractor Supply Company, Carter’s/OshKosh B’Gosh Childrenswear, and Batten | Shaw, Inc. Long’s expertise focused on training, organizational development, and performance improvement.
Seeking greater professional fulfillment, Long transitioned to becoming an elementary school teacher in Williamson County and earning his doctoral degree in education. After being in the classroom for 8+ years, Long joined Lipscomb Academy’s administration, where he served for three years before leading High Hopes.
Long holds a bachelor’s degree from Central Michigan University in Communications and Management, a Master of Business Administration degree from Grand Valley State University, a Master of Education, Curriculum and Instruction degree from Middle Tennessee State University, and a Doctor of Education, Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University.
Allen has been married to Charla for 27 years, and they have four adult children. Allen and Charla are active members of Harpeth Hills Church of Christ, where they enjoy teaching two-year-olds each Sunday.
